My initial feeling is that it is something sinister or mangled. My second is a feeling of being driven to accomplish something.
Not that the title couldn't work or that it has to meant that. It's just first impressions.
The first thing that popped into my head when read the title Bent was, "get bent".
How about Unwritten? It relates both to the book as it's imcomplete and the direction Joe's life (sorry...Colin's) is going. Just my $.02
